About me
Kim Penn has over 18 years of educational leadership and coaching experience working at the district and state level to support classroom teachers, instructional coaches and leaders to navigate the implementation of evidence-based literacy practices into the classroom. She works virtually and in-person to increase student achievement by focusing on structured literacy practices, student data, teaching practices and classroom culture. Kim believes that working together through personalized conversations is the key to changing teaching practice and increasing student growth. Prior to her coaching work, Kim taught in a Title 1 school in both the primary and intermediate grades and as the Early Childhood Coordinator for a large school district. Kim holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, a Special Education endorsement and a Bachelors of Psychology. She has worked in numerous states within large literacy grants and providing professional development.
