Embracing Literacy 2025 Events

Part II:  Cami Kostreva will join Stephany for the follow-up to session 1.

Stephany and Cami will share how they have each engaged secondary teachers in embedding evidence-based literacy instruction into a variety of disciplines across their campuses.

Then they will host Round-Table Discussions of core and elective teacher lessons from Cody Middle School, Cody High School and Lander High School. The lessons demonstrate how literacy instruction and support have been embedded into different disciplines at their schools. These lessons highlight targeted vocabulary instruction, text-based student-to-student discussion, writing instructions and purposeful engagement with curated text-sets.

The hallmark of this session will be the sample units and lessons with teacher created materials that will be available.
